72-foot semi-foiling catamaran
The boat
Morrelli & Melvin designed Extreme H₂O 2.0. Persico Marine built the carbon catamaran in La Spezia, Italy, with a cruising interior by Design Unlimited.
Foils, controls & interior

Foils & controls
Each hull carries a rudder, a daggerboard and an outboard lifting foil. The righting-moment foils exceed seven metres; adjusting their rake controls lift.
A three-person crew can manage sailing and flight controls from the aft cockpit. An interior wheel provides sheltered flight control and mainsail management.
Life aboard
The saloon has wraparound windows and full standing headroom. The boat has electric propulsion and roof space for solar panels.

Sea trials
SumToZero reported that initial sea trials began early in 2026. The boat had been modelled in Gomboc during development; the first trials showed foil and flight-control performance close to the predictions.
Persico had announced American Magic’s involvement in testing and performance tuning in January 2025.
